Position Overview:
As a Function Developer/Engineer, you will be responsible for developing dynamic system models and generating production code using MATLAB Simulink and TargetLink. You will work on model-based design, transforming models into executable code for embedded controllers and Electronic Control Units (ECUs). This position requires a strong background in automotive engineering and expertise in MATLAB Simulink and TargetLink.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modeling in MATLAB Simulink:
- Create and develop dynamic system models using MATLAB Simulink, representing system behavior through block diagrams, state machines, and differential equations.
- Design and simulate control functions and other embedded software functionalities for automotive applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure models meet system requirements and design specifications.
- Code Generation with TargetLink:
- Use TargetLink to generate production code from Simulink models for embedded control systems.
- Ensure generated code is efficient, reliable, and meets real-time requirements for embedded controllers and ECUs.
- Test and validate the code to ensure correct behavior in automotive applications.
- Collaboration and Documentation:

- Work with software engineers and system architects to ensure accurate integration of generated code into the overall system architecture.
- Document modeling and code generation processes to maintain traceability and compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to ensure system performance and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Automotive Background: Experience in automotive engineering, specifically in software development and embedded systems.
- MATLAB Simulink: Proficiency in modeling and simulation using MATLAB Simulink.
- MATLAB TargetLink: Experience with TargetLink for generating production code from Simulink models.
- Vector Tools: Knowledge of Vector tools for automotive software development.
- ASpice: Familiarity with ASpice process framework.
- C Programming: Proficiency in C programming language.
- Available to travel to Europe as needed
